We started Amazoonia because buying in Switzerland costs too much, and because that can be shown with numbers.
The problem
In Switzerland you routinely pay more for identical goods than in the surrounding countries. On local selling platforms only a few merchants tend to compete for the same item, and without competition the price does not move.
The obvious fix and its catch
Ordering from abroad is the obvious way out. It just does not always pay off. Shipping, 8.1% import VAT and the carrier customs handling fee are added, and many items are not delivered to Switzerland at all. You normally learn all of this at the very last step of the order.
Our goal
We look for the best deal on Amazon and put the final price in front of you before you click. If a product does not ship to Switzerland, we do not list it. If importing is not worth it, we write that down.
How we make money
Through Amazon affiliate commission. It costs you nothing and the price at Amazon stays the same. We do not sell placements to merchants and nobody can pay to rank better with us.
Where we are
Amazoonia is new. The method is settled and the first categories are being built. What is on this page is what we actually do, not what we intend to do one day.
