Measurement of the soil water availability to plants at 10 LWF plots every 14 days in 5 soil depths (15, 30, 50, 80, 130 cm) with 8 replicates (usually in the IM plot). The range of measurement is from water saturation until-80 kPa. Purpose: The long-term measurement of the soil water availability to plants in the root zone provides useful information about the soil moisture conditions (drought, water saturation, water easily available to plants). The measurement of the soil water suction allows to calibrate the water balance models and to validate the modelled matric potential.
