The thermal continentality in °C was calculated as the difference between the highest and lowest value of the daily variation of the temperature of July in the period under investigation (1981-2010). The map shows the thermal continentality at 1000 m a.s.l. in July. The resulting map has a spatial resolution of 25 m x 25 m. It was used for modelling altitudinal belts of forest vegetation.
