Plant protection product residues in food

The Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO) analyses plant protection product residues in Swiss food every year. To this end, samples of plant-based and, in some cases, animal-based food products collected from the market are analysed for residues. The results provide information on the situation in Switzerland and show how frequently residues are detected and whether the legal maximum levels are complied with.
